This is done by adapting worst case design techniques, using optimal and derated components suitable for tropical conditions and made by proven manufacturers, 100% inspection of components, multi-stage inspection procedures, screening of components by independent test agencies, multistage burn-in of the product at elevated temperatures and worst-case environmental conditions, environmental cycling of the completed products at test laboratories and institutions and periodic recalibration of test and measurement equipment at statutory test centres.
